They are giving back to U.S. Army veteran Erich Orrick, who has been a recipient of both a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. single dad of two daughters, Orrick is the president of Wish for Our Heroes, a national charity that assists the men and women of the U.S. active-duty military facing hardships.
A Hoosier veteran who spends his spare time helping others got a surprise last weekend. Erich Orrick spent 21 years in the U.S. Army before retiring. He has a purple heart, a bronze star and now spends his spare time volunteering to help other veterans through the organization Wish for our Heroes.

On Saturday, December 14th, Indiana Pacers guard, George Hill and Wish for Our Heroes joined forces once again at the 3rd Annual “HILL”acious Holiday Bash, which was held this year at the Lucas Oil Estate in Carmel, thanks to the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Lucas.
We would like to thank the Indiana Pacers for hosting 30 military children at the Greenwood Park Mall on December 12, 2013 to give them the Christmas of a lifetime. The Pacers joined forces with Wish for Our Heroes and provided each military child with a $200 gift card, and the players and children spent the entire night shopping.
