By Jane Slater, CBS 11 News – With Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo sidelined for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury, there is little he can do to save the Cowboys’ middling year. But Army Staff Sgt. Brian Redding said Romo has saved his life twice.
When 7-year-old Kiara Brewster walked into Timber Ridge Elementary School, in Killeen, she had no idea of the surprise she had in store. By 9 a.m., everyone involved with Kiara’s surprise was gathered inside the office waiting to be walked into her first grade classroom.
Indianapolis-based nonprofit Phoenix-Wish For Our Heroes is preparing to grant its 50th wish. Later this week, the organization will make the wish of U.S. Army’s William Lestienne come true. He asked for help boosting morale among members of his Fort Campbell, Kentucky unit currently in Afghanistan.
