SSG Rich just experienced his worst nightmare when he lost everything in a fire destroying his apartment in South Bend. His family also lost their family kitty, Kit Kat. To make matters even worse, SSG Rich did not have renter’s insurance to help replace his belongs. When the insurance policy came due for renewal recently, the insurance company opted not to renew the policy, and sent notification to his previous address in Milwaukee, WI. SSG Rich had no idea he was no longer covered by his renter’s insurance policy.

The Pacers joined forces with Wish for Our Heroes and provided each military child with a $200 gift card, and the players and children spent the entire night shopping.
Christmas came early for SSG Seth Pena who is currently residing at Ft. Sam Houston in the wounded warrior unit. SSG Pena suffered severe injuries and the only place he had to sit was a very uncomfortable wheelchair. Wish For Our Heroes provided SSG Pena with a new recliner to help provide a little comfort during his long recovery.
