Governor Mitch Daniels took time yesterday, July 26, to meet with Wish for Our Heroes at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and assisted in granting part of a wish for a Hoosier military family in need.
When the IED detonated, Dustin heard the blast from several hundred meters away and immediately knew that due to the dismounted nature of their patrol, there would be serious casualties. He grabbed his gear and sprinted toward the blast.

We are thrilled and honored to be hosting Melissa Jarboe ( Prayers for Sgt Jamie Jarboe ) this week for the Indianapolis 500. Melissa joined us yesterday at the Speedway and shared her humbling and inspirational story, after her husband, SSgt Jamie Jarboe, was shot by a sniper in Afghanistan.
Due to the efforts of Wishe for Our Heroes, Spc. Richard Morrison, a 1st Cavalry Division soldier, will get to introduce his parents to their second grandchild. The Morrison family’s wish was one of two granted Thursday at the first Hackers and Heroes Charity Golf Tournament at Stonetree Golf Course in Killeen.
The Daddy’s were boiling, fans were cheering, and wishes were being granted at the Texas Motor Speedway last weekend. WISH for OUR HEROES hosted an inaugural crawfish boil at the track to raise money for the troops.

Wish For Our Heroes (W4OH), the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Indiana National Guard are teaming up to provide fans with an opportunity to help send active United States military or veterans to the Indianapolis 500, Super Weekend at the Brickyard or Red Bull Indianapolis GP in 2012.
WISH for OUR HEROES, a national 501(c)(3) that grants wishes and provides assistance for active military members, is proud to announce the launch of its new website www.wish4ourheroes.org.
Since early December, we have been taking donations for MaryAnna Knots, who at 3 years old, had to undergo a bone marrow transplant.
