The weekend began on Friday morning with a golf outing sponsored by Donald Long, father of ML Motorsports car #70 driver Johanna Long. This was a great time for the soldiers and the race team to interact with each other and to have a very relaxing start to a great weekend.
When the IED detonated, Dustin heard the blast from several hundred meters away and immediately knew that due to the dismounted nature of their patrol, there would be serious casualties. He grabbed his gear and sprinted toward the blast.

A wounded warrior and his family received a huge surprise Wednesday. Wish For Our Heroes gave a truckload of new furniture and appliances to Lance Cpl. Daniel Palmer. The wish came true two years and one day after an IED took Palmer’s leg in Afghanistan.

Country star Collin Raye joined W4OH at the Fort Bragg Fisher House today, visiting with troops and granting a very special wish to the Rudd family. The Rudd’s 15-month old son has down’s syndrome and W4OH purchased an oximeter for the family to monitor his breathing when Tricare wouldn’t cover it.
