Amy Peters, wife to SSGT John Peters (Air Force, 552 mxs, Tinker AFB, Oklahoma) recently contacted Wish For Our Heroes for financial assistance for groceries, gas, clothing, and two new cribs for their newborn twins. Their new son and daughter were born six weeks early, and each child has faced their own set of complications as a result of being premature. Amy and John also have a 19-month old daughter.
Times have been challenging for the Peters family, sometimes making it difficult to pay all the bills and have money left over for gas and other items. Amy did not want her husband to find out she had asked for help because she knows he is a proud man that has never asked anyone for help. Needless to say, the family was thrilled when two brand new cribs arrived along with various baby supplies including diapers, formula, and gift cards to purchase clothing as well.
Military families face many struggles that are often times outside of the realm of the everyday military life. We know that these hardships often times weight heavy in the lives of our military families who faithfully serve our country each day. Wish For Our Heroes was glad to help alleviate these concerns for the Peters family in appreciation for the sacrifices they have made and the hardships they have endured.
Thank you to the Peters family for all that you do!
“I don’t even know how to thank you all for everything that you have done for us” –Amy Peters
Amy – there’s no need to thank us. We are the ones who thank you for your husband’s service, and for the sacrifices you make as a family each day.
