INDIANAPOLIS – On Sunday, November 16, the Colts will team up with WISH for OUR HEROES to host a cash collection prior to the Colts vs. Patriots game. From 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., volunteers will be collecting cash from Colts fans to benefit WISH for OUR HEROES. Donations will be collected at the Colts Community Collection Stations, presented by Toyota, located outside each Lucas Oil Stadium gate.
Those fans who would like to make a contribution but are not attending the game can make a $10 donation by texting the word ‘America’ to 20222.
100% of all proceeds will go toward assisting local Hoosier military families struggling with basic needs: food, shelter, transportation, and child needs.
WISH for OUR HEROES is dedicated to assisting the men and women of our United States military. WISH for OUR HEROES provides resources to military families, focusing on basic needs that many people take for granted. Originally founded in Noblesville, Indiana, in 2009, with the goal of granting one wish for every deserving member of the U.S. Military, WISH for OUR HEROES has grown to become a national charity granting wishes in 48 out of 50 states.
The Colts Gameday Collections program will continue to run throughout the 2014 season with a different charitable collection held prior to each home game. Upcoming collections include the Meijer SACKing Hunger, Damar Services Collection and the Wish TV Toy Drive. A complete list of future collections is available at www.colts.com/collections.
