WISH for OUR HEROES, a national 501(c)(3) based in Noblesville, IN, will host the inaugural Hero Zone at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in conjunction with Armed Forces Weekend May 18-19. The Hero Zone will be free and open to the general public and will feature interactive military events and lots of local military members from all branches. Local military members will visit with participants and will provide demonstrations on a wide variety of military activities.
Activities include:
- Rock climbing wall
- Hand grenade toss
- Low crawl
- Balance beam
- Culvert crawl
- Equipment demonstrations
- Pull-up bar
- Straw wall
- Tire jump
- Weapons demonstrations
- And much more!
The Hero Zone is free and open to all ages and will include military face painting and other obstacles geared specifically for kids. Donations will be accepted, and they will assist local Indiana military members facing hardship. The weekend will feature surprise celebrity appearances by local Indianapolis celebrities.

The Hero Zone will be located in Lot N, inside IMS between Hulman Blvd. and the Pagoda on 6th Street
TIMES:
8:00 AM – 6:00 PM on May 18-19.
