The Thompson’s (SGT Thompson, his wife Liz, and their 4-year old girl Reece) are stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas. As SGT Thompson was preparing to deploy, their on-base home burned down, which caused them to lose all of their belongings and personal items. SGT Thompson continued with his deployment, leaving Liz and Reece to move forward alone during this difficult time. On December 13, 2014, at the Army/Navy game in Baltimore, MD, W4OH and Chevrolet partnered to surprise Liz and Reece with a brand new Chevy Colorado truck, to assist with their re-building efforts.

At this year’s Army vs. Navy football game, former General Motors CEO and U.S. Naval Academy graduate Dan Akerson along with the president of Wish for our Heroes, Mr. Jeff Wells gave an all-new 2015 Colorado to Sergeant Jonathan Thompson, who serves our country in the Army.
