Marie is an active member of the Navy and reached out to Wish For Our Heroes with a request for her son Noah. Noah was born prematurely and has Dyskinetic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. Marie and her husband look for ways to get Noah outside to enjoy and explore his environment, but most equipment for Noah costs significantly more than equipment that is available for an able-bodied child. Wish For Our Heroes was able to purchase an $880 Wike Trailer for Noah that allows him to sit upright, safely and comfortably.
Dantrell reached out to Wish for Our Heroes with a need for his friend Jermaine, a veteran who served in the USCG. As a result of faithful donors, we were able to help with costs to install a wheelchair lift on his van, as well as repairs needed on the van itself.
Finally, Wish For Our Heroes recently assisted Jewelia to catch up on her rent payments. Jewelia is an active member of the Navy. She has been tasked out with giving vaccines for COVID-19 relief. After receiving some assistance from the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society for the previous month’s rent, Wish For Our Heroes was able to cover the remaining $1,375.60 on Jewelia’s lease. This assistance will provide the financial security that Jewelia needs to focus on taking care of her family, rather than worrying about finding another job or loan to make ends meet.
