W4OH MILITARY HOLIDAY MEAL PROGRAM

Many Service Members struggle to put a holiday meal on the table each winter. With the average cost of Holiday gifts totaling to roughly $900 annually, it’s easy to understand why.

Wish for Our Heroes recognizes the unique challenges military men and women experience. With the Feed a Family Holiday program, W4OH strives to give back to those who dedicate their lives to protecting our freedoms by providing them a warm Holiday meal.[/vc_column_text]

Here’s how it works

Through this page, service members can request ingredients for a holiday meal either for themselves or place a nomination for a military family in need. These requests will be processed by volunteers at Wish for Our Heroes. Approximately 100 families will be identified to receive a Holiday food basket.

Applicants who are selected to receive ingredients for a holiday meal will by notified via email along with more details about basket pick-up. Applicants who are selected must RSVP to accept their basket; if no RSVP is received, another family will be contacted to receive the basket.

On December 21, 2023, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM ingredients for a holiday meal will be distributed to the selected families at the location specified in the RSVP email.

Nominate a Family

Please provide the requested information about yourself and the family you wish to nominate. Be sure to tell us a little bit about the family and why you believe they are eligible. Please note, our supplies are limited — nominees are not guaranteed to receive ingredients for a holiday meal. Multiple nominations are allowed, but please keep the number of nominations to 5 or less! Pick up Location options are: Lackland AFB, Ft Sam Houston (specific location to come).
