Scott and Sarah’s daughter was born a blue baby and took 8 min to revive followed by a massive brain bleed at three days old. After 42 days in NICU, the doctors used a shunt to stop the bleeding. Fast forward to 2018 when Scott returned from a deployment… they learned that their daughter was Autistic. Add to that, they discovered after a 20 min seizure in 2021, their daughter also has epilepsy. The family purchased a service dog to improve the quality of life for their daughter and allow her to be more independent. However, with Scott’s retirement in May of 2022 and no job yet, they are worried about making the remaining payments left on the animal.
Our Gift
Wish for Our Heroes is dedicated to assisting the everyday needs of active military members. We were able to help meet Scott’s need by paying the $4,500 remaining for the cost of the service dog, helping to reduce the stress before Scott retires in May 2022.
